Illini Ring and Rail is dedicated to fostering a goal-driven, engaged community of former team members who champion the future of intercollegiate judging at the University of Illinois. We serve as the leading force for promotion, recruitment, and fundraising – committed to attracting, supporting, and retaining premier talent for the University of Illinois Meats and Livestock Judging Teams. Through collaboration, advocacy, and sustained alumni involvement, we strive to provide a full range of support for current and future students and to ensure the long-term excellence of Illinois judging programs.
March 7th Kick-Off Event
Please join us for our inaugural Illini Ring and Rail Kick-Off Event. This spectacular evening will concentrate on fundraising, networking, and promoting all things linked to Illinois Judging.
The 2025 University of Illinois Intercollegiate Meats and Livestock Judging Teams will be honored, with the 2026 Teams being announced. In addition, the State Illinois 4-H Livestock and Meat Teams and the Illinois 4-H Skillathon and Quizbowl Teams will be highlighted. Finally, in keeping with past reunion tradition, former University of Illinois Meats and Livestock Teams, whose year ends in "5", will be honored.
This evening of celebration will bring renewed energy to the University of Illinois Meats and Livestock Judging Teams. Board member Colleen Callahan Burns will serve as Master of Ceremonies, and a special guest speaker will rally our attendees to support the University of Illinois Intercollegiate Meats and Livestock Judging Teams.
Auction items will be abundant, some of which will be linked directly to the Kick-Off Event. So, be ready to participate!
